The Center for Career Development has adopted a new platform, Handshake, to replace Hire-A-VOL as the referral source for jobs, internships, and other professional opportunities.
Handshake is provided at no cost to students. Handshake is intuitive to use and easy to navigate, with all the functionality of Hire-A-VOL plus some additional features. And because it’s offered at more than 500 colleges and universities, it gives you access to a wider national network of employers.
Students
Students sign on using your Net ID as the username and your UT password for the password field. Please check your profile for accuracy. Complete all profile sections and upload your resume to begin searching for full time jobs, part time jobs, or internships.
Alumni
Alumni who have graduated more than a year ago can sign up for an account using the email address of your choice. Your account will be approved within 1-2 business days after verification of alumni status. Should you have any difficulty setting up or accessing your account, please contact the Center for Career Development at 865-974-5435 or career@utk.edu.
