RHTM Faculty Lends Expert Advice on US Open Economical Impact

It’s time for the US Open again and James A. Williams, Assistant Professor of  Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management discusses with Wallethub.Com the economical impact of such an event.  The US Open yields over a $750 million economic impact upon the metro area, which is New York City this year.   “The economic impact is felt locally on a micro-scale and internationally on a macro-scale,” according to Williams.  Williams also feels that even though tickets start at $2,100, they are reasonably priced in comparison to other events such as the Superbowl which runs $3,950 on average.  Read more of Williams expert opinion on the overall market impact and issues facing tennis.
