University-Assisted Community Schools Featured on PBS

University-Assisted Community Schools Pond Gap Garden signThe College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is involved in multiple outreach programs in our community.  One of those, with renown success, is the University-Assisted Community Schools Program (UACS), the brainchild of Bob Kronick, Director and Professor of School Counseling in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling.

One of the most successful projects sponsored by the UACS is the community garden at Pond Gap Elementary School.  As one of the two schools that offer the UACS after-school program, Pond Gap has provided more than just food and after-school programs for the students and families .
