CEHHS Awardees from KRSS
A total of five KRSS faculty and staff members were honored with 2025 CEHHS Awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research, teaching, service, engagement, and staff excellence. These awards reflect the exceptional talent, dedication, and impact of our faculty and staff across the college and beyond.

Dr. Robert A. Rider Faculty Support Award for Research ExcellenceRecipient: Rebecca Zakrajsek
Awarded to recognize current/past accomplishments or future projects of one outstanding faculty member for research excellence within any area of CEHHS.
Jacquelyn Orlando DeJonge Faculty AwardRecipient: Sylvia Trendafilova
Awarded to a faculty member in the health or human sciences areas of Child and Family Studies; Nutrition; Public Health; or Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management. This award is based on superlative research, teaching, or service.
CEHHS Access and Engagement Award
Recipient: Adam Love
Awarded to a CEHHS faculty member, staff member, or unit (e.g., office, department, or program) that exemplifies a commitment to inclusive excellence through actionable change.
Dean’s Award for Exceptional Faculty Service
Recipient: Scott Barnicle
Awarded to a non-tenure track faculty member at any stage who has performed their job duties exceptionally well and who has contributed to the CEHHS community in ways beyond their position description; this person exemplifies the Volunteer spirit.
John Tunstall Outstanding Staff Award
Recipient: Alley Haney
Awarded annually to a staff member who has executed their duties in an exemplary manner in support of those programs that prepare “teachers, administrators, or others entering the field of education.”
