Biography

Candace Sapp is a 1st year doctoral student in the Community Nutrition program in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Candace serves as a Maternal & Child Health Nutrition Leadership Trainee with Marsha Spence and Betsy Anderson-Steeves. She works with Dorian McCoy as a graduate assistant on diversity, recruitment, and retention initiatives for CEHHS in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Her research focuses on the implementation of nutrition interventions related to childhood obesity in minoritized youth. In her free time, she enjoys baking and decorating cakes.
