The Boyd Community Schools Collaboration Hub, the core initiative of UT’s University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) strategy, has been a hub for community school research and operations for more than 20 years. University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) are community schools in which universities serve as a core partner in providing broadly based, sustained support. Academic partnerships connect the university’s and school’s curricula through a common focus on helping solve community-identified problems. This approach is designed to simultaneously improve community wellbeing and advance research, teaching, and learning (K-16+).
