June D. Gorski, DrPH, professor emerita of health education and public health at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, established an endowed scholarship in 1995 to further the study and practice of public health. Her advisees in the community health education concentration developed the award criteria, which recognize June Gorski’s contributions, dedication, and passion for health education. The recipients are currently enrolled graduate students in public health or health education who have demonstrated a commitment to community-based initiatives, promotion or preventive measures, advocacy for policy that enhances the human/animal conditions and collaboration to further the mission of “healthy people in healthy communities.”

- Applications to the June D. Gorski Scholarship Endowment are available on the Forms/Resources page of the Office of Advising and Student Services website .
- The application period is very narrow. An updated application will be posted in January of each year. The deadline for returning completed applications will be the first week of February.
- Applicants should include a completed application, a resume, and the answer to a short essay question, which will appear on the application.
