Tammy Knierim is the program coordinator for the K12 Instructional Leadership Program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Before joining the University of Tennessee in August of 2020, Tammy served at various assignments over a 30-year career in the United States Air Force.
Within our Department, Tammy is responsible for a hybrid asynchronous/synchronous, K12 instructional leadership distance education program with three pathways – Master’s, Education Specialist, and Graduate Certificate. This CAEP accredited program prepares candidates for the Tennessee Department of Education Instructional Leader License (ILL-B). The 30-credit-hour Master’s program, 36-credit-hour Education Specialist Program (with a research component), and the 21-credit-hour Graduate Certificate program, involve both coursework and a 335-hour Instructional Leader Fieldwork Clinical Practice
