COLLEGE STUDENT

PERSONNEL

The College Student Personnel (CSP) Program is currently pausing the acceptance of new applicants. We understand this may impact prospective students, and we appreciate your patience as we finalize future plans. Additional information will be shared as soon as it becomes available. Please continue to check our website for updates. Thank you for your patience.

The mission of the College Student Personnel (CSP) program is to prepare graduate students for work serving others in higher education or related services. The program provides students with an education grounded in research, theory, and practical experience. The CSP program follows a cohort model to promote an inclusive community, to facilitate peer to peer learning, and to provide opportunities for professional socialization.

Our History

The CSP program is more than seventy years old, with our first student graduating in 1947. Since then, more than 700 students have graduated from the program. Have questions or want more info? Please reach out – we would love to hear from you!

“I picked the CSP program because I knew that I wanted practical experience working in student affairs while learning in the classroom, but what I gained was so much more. Through the CSP program, I obtained foundational knowledge that has helped me better understand the work that we do to help students, lifelong friendships from my cohort that I’ll always cherish, and confidence in my skills as a practitioner that will follow me wherever I go.”

– Shelby Priece, Cohort 2023

“The CSP program has helped me develop my identity as a student affairs professional and has challenged me to grow academically, professionally, and personally. It’s thanks to the intentionality of my professors and the support of my cohort that I charge into my career full of confidence and pride in the work I do!

– Michelle Muray, Cohort 2022
