Leadership Studies Speaker Series

Leadership Studies Speaker Series

Leadership Studies recognizes that students learn from scholarship about the theories and concepts of leadership, but that leadership ability and confidence comes through experience. We learn to be leaders from our personal experiences with leadership and the lived experiences of others who are gracious enough to share their challenges, successes, and personal meaning they made of those experiences. The Leadership Studies Speaker Series offers students age and setting-appropriate leaders as exemplars.

Fall Alumni Speaker Series – UT alumni are invited to return to campus to share their thoughts on and personal stories about their leadership journey from UT student to the leader they are today. Previous Speakers include Josh Dobbs ‘17, Former UTK Chancellor Dr. Jimmy Cheek, Taylor Odle ‘14.
Fall 2022 Leadership Studies Program and Project Excellence hosted the Annual Fall Leadership Event with distinguished community leaders Tanisha Baker and Pastor Daryl Arnold. The event provided the opportunity for two prominent Knoxville community leaders to connect with ELPS Leadership Studies students for a night of honest leadership advice and mentoring
