Zoë Alfonso

Biography

Zoë Alfonso is a school psychology doctoral intern from the University of Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Child Development in 2021 and completed her Master's in Education at the University of Florida in 2024. Zoë has conducted research focused on child-teacher relationships and engagement as well as school-based mental health through implementation of systems-level programs. She is currently working on her dissertation which is focused on Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and implementation behavior through a training lens. Her research aims to develop and validate a measure of PCIT therapist self-efficacy that can be used to inform training practices and programs while also addressing the larger disruptive behavior challenges in early childhood.
