Doctoral Intern
Biography
Maggie Richardson is a school psychology doctoral intern at the University of Kentucky. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from West Virginia University, with concentrations in English Language Arts and Special Education. Before beginning her doctoral training, Maggie worked as both a reading teacher and special educator in public and private school settings. During her doctoral program, she completed practicum experiences in Fayette County Public Schools, including the Preschool Center, as well as at the Center on Trauma and Children in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Her research interests focus on child and parent mental health, particularly the ways substance use can affect development and family relationships.
