STUDENT ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Student Administrative Specialist is the first point of contact for clients at the KLASS Center. This position performs client scheduling, client financial services and data entry, specified routine duties such as greeting clients, answering routine inquiries, and general office support activities as appropriate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets and checks-in clients.
- Reviews new client paperwork for proper completion and updates existing information in the client management system.
- Manages billing and processes client payments and posts to account.
- Works with clients to prepare superbills for submission to insurance companies.
- Schedules follow-up appointments.
- Answers phones timely and professionally.
- Matches invoices to logged information and routes invoices for payment.
- Reconciles accounts and contract management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently, but also work well in a team; multitask and quickly prioritize multiple requests, and problem solve. The candidate must maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism and deal well with the public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Junior-standing or later in a business or helping-related degree program.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in an office setting, preferably using an electronic medical record and/or accounting system, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent computer skills including competency in Microsoft Office software and accuracy in typing and data entry.
- Experience with computerized client management or accounting systems.
- Ability to read both printed and cursive writing; knowledge of English usage, spelling, and communications..
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to maintain a friendly demeanor and exhibit tact and professionalism both in person and on the phone.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Ability to analyze and make recommendations for improvements in office procedures.
Part-time: Up to 20 hrs per week
Pay: $18.00/hr
