Joe Smith, originally from Pennsylvania, received his B.S. in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University (2005), his DVM from Ohio State University (2009), MPS from Penn State University (2012) and PhD from Iowa State University (2019). He completed a large animal internal medicine residency (DACVIM) at UC Davis (2015). He has taught veterinary students since 2012, and serves as an associate professor of farm animal medicine and veterinary clinical pharmacology at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine as well as the Coach for UT’s NCWA wrestling team.
