ACED PhD

Dan Wang earned her M.A. in Linguistics in 2006 and has served as a Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Tennessee for the past ten years. Before joining UT, she taught at Duke University for nine years. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Adult and Continuing Education at the University of Tennessee. Her research interests include experiential learning, technology in second language acquisition, and community-based learning. Dan is member of the Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA) and the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE). Beyond academia, she serves on the board of the Knoxville Asian Festival and participates in various cultural initiatives that foster intercultural understanding within the Knoxville community.
