Brent Kreid brings more than thirty years of PK–12 experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent in both public and private schools. His career includes leadership roles in several rural Southern Illinois districts and in Wilson and Williamson County Schools in suburban Middle Tennessee. Brent currently serves as Athletic Director at Virginia Academy in Ashburn, Virginia, and is pursuing his EdD in Educational Leadership at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research examines how teachers’ perceptions of principal leadership influence retention in contrasting school contexts. He holds a B.A. in Education and an M.S. in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
