Areis Lurry,  based in Nashville, Tennessee, is a student in the Higher Education Administration M.S. program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He began his undergraduate studies at UT Knoxville and earned his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in education from Western Kentucky University. He also holds an MSW from Southern University at New Orleans, an MHA from Louisiana State University Shreveport, an MBA from Bethel University, and a DHA from Oklahoma State University. 

He serves as a clinical assistant professor in the College of Social Work at UT Knoxville, where he teaches in the macro and organizational leadership curriculum. His professional background bridges healthcare administration, social work, and higher education, with experience in student affairs, academic program leadership, and healthcare workforce development. His current interests focus on higher education leadership within healthcare academic systems.
