LEADERSHIP STUDIES MINOR

HONORS TRACK

The Leadership Studies – Honors minor is a 12-credit program open to Honors students from all majors. The curriculum combines hands-on learning with leadership theory to prepare students for careers and civic life.

Students gain real-world practice in leadership processes, facilitating change, and navigating group dynamics. Coached experiences include team science, community engagement, and civic leadership. 

Hallmarks of the Leadership Studies Minor

Professional Quality Leadership Development – Students develop leadership capacity by connecting course content to the practice of leadership. Students will participate in coached leadership experiences to learn leadership by engaging in civic and organizational life.

Experiential Leadership Learning – Students learn leadership by engaging in leadership processes and practices in a range of civic and organizational contexts.

Team Science, Community-Engaged Scholarship, & Civic Engagement – Honors students have unique opportunities to think about and develop leadership capacity in a range of scholarly and community-engaged contexts. These experiences will prepare Honors students for graduate school, competitive internships, and a range of competitive career pathways.
