Research
I am deeply grateful to my mentors and advisors who have guided me on my journey, instilling in me a dedication to rigorous research, critical thinking, and effective communication. Drawing from my experience in clinical practice, I am driven to explore interventions promoting wellness and enhancing the lives of individuals facing co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, HIV, and psychiatric disabilities in diverse communities. My research methodology emphasizes collaboration within communities and employs innovative approaches to understand and meet the specific needs of this population. As a counselor educator, I am committed to advancing the field by exploring multicultural frameworks in counseling and counselor training, aiming to foster inclusive and effective practices for future professionals.

Engagement
Within UT, I am a Volunteer Faculty Fellow and serve as a Faculty Advisor for the Upsilon Theta chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. My passion lies in community-engaged scholarship, where I work closely with communities to support individuals living with HIV and in recovery from substance use to support their overall well-being and quality of life.
Apart from that, I am also involved in national service opportunities with the ACA divisions of the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) and the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC).
