Research
As a school counselor educator, I am interested in theory-informed school counseling practice to promote student’s academic success, social emotional wellbeing, and college and career readiness. I am particularly interested in protective factors that help students thrive in their lives, regardless of the adversity they may encounter. My studies have focused on school connectedness, hope, mindfulness, career development, school-family-community partnerships, bullying, and social determinants of health. I am also interested in using secondary datasets to inform school counseling practice.
