Scott Smith, Phd

Director of Physical Education and Activity Program

I came to Knoxville in April of 2015 as a Coordinator in KRSS, advising students, managing graduate admissions, and teaching classes. After twelve years in student services, I needed a break from advising and jumped at the chance to direct the Physical Education Activity Program in 2022. During my time here, I also became an alumnus, completing a PhD in Kinesiology and Sport Studies in 2021. Off campus, I am exceptionally boring, but I do try to take advantage of the myriad recreational opportunities Knoxville and the surrounding areas offer.
