Student Support

From technology support to urgent financial assistance, our college offers support services for our students.

CEHHS Urgent Financial Assistance

CEHHS is dedicated to supporting students who are experiencing urgent financial need.  Our college can help connect students with the appropriate campus or community support. In some cases based on context and award criteria, this may include a small, college-level academic scholarship to help bridge a student to other, more substantial, long-term financial solutions. A student must be pursuing a program within CEHHS to be considered for any scholarship opportunities within the college.

Graduate Student Travel Support

CEHHS offers travel support for CEHHS graduate students who have been accepted or invited to present their scholarly work at professional meetings or conferences. Eligible students may apply for two college-sponsored travel awards that help cover expenses related to presenting papers, posters, abstracts, or other scholarly work.

CEHHS Graduate Student Travel Support Initial Application

Provides up to $100 in financial support for travel expenses for students presenting their scholarly work. All CEHHS graduate students who have presented a scholarship-related paper, poster, or abstract at a professional conference or meeting are eligible to apply for initial travel support. Only one application may be submitted per fiscal year (July 1–June 30) to receive up to $100.

CEHHS Graduate Student Travel Support Supplemental Application

Covers additional travel expenses not funded through other sources, such as departmental support, the CEHHS Initial Application, or the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) Travel Award.

This award provides additional travel funding after all other sources have been exhausted. To qualify, applicants must be presenters (authors or coauthors) with confirmed conference acceptance. Only one application may be submitted per fiscal year (July 1–June 30). Reimbursement requests should be submitted within 30 days of completing travel or at least three weeks prior to the trip. If multiple students attend the same event, funding may be adjusted accordingly.

Both awards are designed to encourage and support CEHHS graduate students in sharing their research and professional contributions with the broader academic and professional community.
