“I studied abroad the summer of 2023 in Dublin Ireland, and it was the best opportunity ever! We stayed at Trinity College in Dublin and got to visit Waterford and Galway. This experience was very beneficial for me because I got to learn from and network with some of Dublin’s most notable retailers and see how they operate their businesses, and I got to meet new people in my same major who have become some of my closest friends! This experience has given me lifelong memories I will never forget!”

Enrolling in the Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism department has given me many opportunities to meet people from all hospitality backgrounds and job types. I got the opportunity to travel to Chattanooga with the department for TNHTA’s Governor’s Conference which is hosted each year for hundreds of hospitality professionals and leaders. I greatly appreciate the support from the department in connecting me with industry leaders while furthering my career.

Through the RMM-TSC project in RMM 425 Retail Category Management, I had the incredible opportunity to work with TSC’s space planning team where we introduced a new brand to their “Biscuits and Treats” planogram. We toured the Merchandising Innovation Center and presented our final projects at the Support Center in Brentwood, TN. Experiencing retail strategy in a real-world setting deepened my understanding and inspired my future career path—I’m thrilled to be joining TSC after graduation!
