My research examines the critical relationships between governance, trust, and policy in hospitality contexts through a constructionist lens. At the heart of my work lies the intersection of three domains: Lodging Management, Crisis Management, and Experience Management—all viewed through a governance perspective. I investigate how macro-level policies and governance frameworks affect micro-level operations and experiences in hospitality settings, particularly during challenging times. My work explores how policy decisions cascade through the industry’s ecosystem, affecting stakeholder trust, operational resilience, and guest experiences.
In the classroom, I aim to create an accessible learning environment that bridges theoretical concepts with industry realities, helping students fall in love with the dynamic hospitality and tourism field while preparing them for professional success.
