Professor
I explore the dynamic interplay of retail/service design, consumer experience management, and emerging media and digital technology from a consumer psychology perspective. My current research work examines the design and analysis of peer-to-peer marketplace, service robots, and conversational AI, and their implications for developing consumer-centered solutions. As a dedicated learner, I am committed to applying research insights to develop research/service designs that empower both consumers and businesses to thrive sustainably.
In the classroom, I mentor graduate students to excel as researchers, particularly through quantitative research methods. Additionally, I guide undergraduates through the dynamic fields of digital retailing, retail space planning, and retail buying and merchandising in an ever-changing retail landscape. My goal is to prepare the next generation of retail professionals and researchers with a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical insights. I believe my role is to guide students to stay inquisitive about consumers and retail businesses in the current and future society.
