Internship Highlights
HTM – Grace Keffer, Omni Nashville Hotel
This summer, Grace Keffer, a senior in HTM, completed an internship at the Omni Nashville Hotel. She gained hands-on experience across several departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and banquets, which provided a comprehensive view of full-service hotel operations. One highlight of her internship was assisting with converting all guest rooms on the 5th and 6th floors into meeting spaces – a fast-paced project that required close coordination among multiple departments. The experience deepened her understanding of collaboration, leadership, and the importance of being well-rounded in hospitality management. She finished the internship with greater confidence, deeper industry knowledge, and an even stronger passion for the hospitality field.
RMM – Erika Knisley, Intern for Shop My Influence
Erika Knisley, a senior in RMM, spent this past summer abroad in Paris interning as a campaign manager for Shop My Influence, an up-and-coming affiliation app. Erika not only learned about influencer campaigns in the US market, but also the various strategies used in other markets. Her most exciting task was managing Brad Pitt’s luxury skin care campaign for Beau Domaine.
Erica was able to meet with brand representatives and had a big hand in helping with the campaign launch. “This experience helped me grow both personally and professionally. I gained more confidence in my work and applied what I have learned in the classroom to a real-life setting. I know these valuable skills will serve me throughout my professional journey,” said Erica.
