Dr. Andrew D. Holt Endowed Professorship – College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences
Hongping Zhang received the Dr. Andrew D. Holt Endowed Professorship Award in recognition of her excellence in teaching, research, and service. From 2022 to 2024, Zhang generated 3,525 student credit hours while consistently demonstrating exceptional teaching quality. Students commend her for her unwavering support of their success, clear and frequent communication, and genuine care for their learning.
Online Course Development Awards – The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Digital Learning
RHTM faculty members are doing an excellent job developing high-quality online courses. In October 2024, Michelle Childs and Jeanie Lim received the Jumpstart Online Course Exemplar Award for RMM 200: Introduction to the Fashion Industry and RMM 300: Fashion Trend Analysis and Forecasting. In addition, Stefanie Benjamin is scheduled to receive the same award in October 2025 for her RHTM 584 Advanced Critical Sustainable Tourism.
Top Researcher in Business and Management – The University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Youn-Kyung (Lydia) Kim is ranked #2 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, among top researchers in Business and Management, according to Research.com. Nationally, she is ranked #441 among her peers in the United States. We are proud to celebrate her achievement!
Industry Educator of the Year – Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association
In May, Junehee Kwon received the Industry Educator of the Year, Pauly Award from the Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association for her contribution to advancing hospitality and tourism management program in the Department of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
