Cheryl Robertson is the Coordinator of the Grow Your Own Program at UTK. Prior to starting at UTK, Dr. Robertson spent 30 years as a middle school science teacher while also serving as a TAP Master Teacher, Lead Teacher, Department Chair, and New Teacher Induction Mentor during her public school tenure. Her research interests include mentoring/coaching teachers, trauma-informed instruction, and promoting/fostering student resilience. Dr. Robertson has presented at various state, regional, and national conferences on trauma-informed instruction and fostering student resilience. Dr. Robertson lives in Knoxville with her husband of 34 years, and she has one daughter who is a professor of Psychology at the Community College of Baltimore County in Maryland. Outside of work, Cheryl is on a quest to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers play in all 30 major league ballparks.
