\"\"<\/a>The VolsTeach program will begin their Spring 2015 STEM Lecture Series March 23, 2015.\u00a0 The series, Advice from the Field: Teaching Effectively in Schools Serving <\/em>Economically Distressed Communities<\/em>, will be presented on three different dates throughout the spring.<\/p>\n

The first lecture, Stem Seeds for Rural Success, <\/em>will be presented by Sally Perdue, associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University (TTU) and director of the TTU Oakley STEM Center and Gale Stanley, president of the Tennessee Science Teachers Association, grant writer and manager for the Campbell County School System Math Science Partnership Grant.\u00a0 The seminar will be held from 5-6:00 P.M. at 821 Volunteer Boulevard, Greve Hall room 122.<\/p>\n

The second in the series, Leveraging Communities in STEM Teaching and Learning,<\/em> will be presented by Lynn Hodge on April 6.<\/p>\n

The third and final of the series, Collaborative and Project Based Learning at a STEM Academy<\/em>, will be presented by Vicki Metzgar on April 23.<\/p>\n
