The Bailey Graduate School of Education offers multiple graduate-level teacher education programs and pathways to licensure at the master’s level.
The Library Science Education program is offered through the School of Information Sciences (SIS) in the College of Communication and Information (CCI) and offers multiple pathways to licensure.
All other graduate-level teacher education programs are offered through the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education (TPTE) and offer two master’s levels pathways to licensure:
The Professional Internship (Post-Baccalaureate) concentrations are designed for students who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree and are seeking initial teacher licensure. The Professional Internship (Post-Baccalaureate) programs allow you to concurrently earn a master’s degree while serving as an intern under the supervision of a highly skilled Mentor Teacher in a local school. The Practitioner Concentration (job-embedded) is designed for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree and are seeking initial (Practitioner) licensure in a high-needs area while serving as the instructor of record at a partnership school system or private school. The Practitioner Concentration is offered fully online / distance education only.
