Thomas Torre Gibney is Senior Research Associate at WestEd and an affiliated scholar with the Education Research & Opportunity Center. His work evaluates the impact of policies intended to improve equitable access to educational opportunities and reduce inequalities across a range of K-12 and postsecondary settings. Torre Gibney’s expertise includes postsecondary access and success, career and technical education, and the application of rigorous quantitative methods paired with mixed-methods implementation research. A former educator and state CTE policymaker, his research interests often focus on the intersection of college and career readiness and CTE programming as a bridge to postsecondary education. Torre Gibney earned his MPP in Education Policy from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development.
