Dr. James Martinez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With over 25 years of instructional and leadership experience in K-12 schools and higher education, Dr. Martinez’s current focus is on preparing future school leaders, conducting research on the relationship between school administrators and teachers, and serving in various capacities at local, regional, and national levels. His latest publication, titled “Character Education Initiatives and Preparation for School Administrators: A Review of Literature,” was published in the January 2023 edition of the Journal of Leadership, Equity, and Research.
