Students receive applied training in assessment, consultation, intervention, and research under a Scientist-Practitioner Model. Students are encouraged to view practice and science as similar endeavors and apply the same general problem-solving steps. Their work advances knowledge and practice to promote student well-being, learning, and mental health in K\u201312 schools and other educational contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) and Educational Specialist (Ed. S.) degree in School Psychology. Both the Ph. D. and Ed. S. programs prepare graduates for impactful careers. The Ph. D. program requires approximately 5 years of graduate training, including a year-long internship completed during the last year of training and a dissertation. The program is designed for full-time students and includes summer courses. Full-time enrollment is a minimum of 9 credit hours. The program is not designed for part-time students; however, in exceptional circumstances, part-time students may successfully complete the Ph. D. program. The Ed.
