Practitioner Concentration, Social Science Education Specialization (Job-Embedded Program)
The MS in Teacher Education, Practitioner Concentration, Social Science Education Specialization is a fully online program for college graduates who are currently employed or seeking employment as non-licensed teachers. To complete the program and teacher licensure requirements, you must be hired by a local school district and complete a minimum of one year (10 months) of full-time teaching.

Thirty to thirty-eight credit hours are required to fulfill the requirements for the Master of Science, Practitioner Concentration. Students must complete licensure requirements within three years. Students completing the MS in Teacher Education, Practitioner Concentration, Social Science education specialization earn both the MS degree and their Tennessee teaching license.
