English Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) with an Internship in Teaching
The MS in Teacher Ecucation with an English Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) Professional Internship concentration is a dual-license program that prepares candidates to teach English Language Arts in grades 6 to 12 and ESL in grades PK-12. Candidates are prepared to work in diverse settings to effectively meet the individual learning needs of their students. Candidates earn an undergraduate degree in English, and a minor in Secondary Education. Then they complete the Professional Year – graduate coursework and a yearlong internship that leads to a master’s degree and teacher licensure.
