Elementary Education with an Internship in Teaching
The MS in Teacher Education with an Elementary Education Professional Internship concentration is designed for students who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree and are seeking initial teacher licensure. This program prepares candidates to teach elementary students in grades K-5. Candidates are prepared to work in diverse settings to effectively meet the individual learning needs of their students. Candidates complete the Professional Year consisting of graduate coursework and a yearlong internship under the supervision of a highly skilled Mentor Teacher in a local school, leading to a master’s degree and teacher licensure.
