Yukyeong Song

Assistant Professor

Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching

Yukyeong Song is an assistant professor in educational technology in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

She earned her Ph.D. degree in Educational Technology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Seoul National University in South Korea. Her research interests are the design and development of theoretically grounded AI technologies in education, learning analytics, future workforce development in AI, Data Science, and Computing. Her goal is to provide engaging STEM learning experiences for all learners, regardless of their backgrounds, interests, and prior knowledge. She has extensive practical experience, having worked as an instructional designer for engineers at Hyundai Motor Company. She is passionate about teaching and has taught a wide range of students, from K-12 students to pre-service and in-service teachers, graduate students, and adult professionals. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading books, and working out.
