Patricia J. Higgins is a clinical assistant professor in educational psychology in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and program coordinator for the Educational Psychology M.S. Program.

Her research focuses on access and equity in education, civility and anti-bullying, facilitating safe and learner-centered educational settings, and the roles of intersectionality and power dynamics in diverse educational contexts. With a professional background in global education, her work is grounded in removing barriers to learning for marginalized and underrepresented learners.
