Janine Al-Aseer is a clinical assistant professor and director of University-Assisted Community Schools. She graduated from the University of Tennessee (Theory and Practice in Teacher Education) with her PhD in education with a concentration in cultural studies.

Her research interests include education toward empowerment, the impact of dialogue, action research, and supporting public education / educators.
