David Bowers is a research assistant professor in STEM (Math) education in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Bowers holds a PhD in mathematics education from Michigan State University and is a former secondary math/engineering teacher. His research interests include anarchist mathematics education.
