Mathematics Education Professional Internship Concentration (Post-Baccalaureate)
The Mathematics Education Professional Internship concentration is intended for individuals who have earned an undergraduate degree and are seeking initial teacher licensure in Mathematics 6-12 or Mathematics 6-10. Candidates are prepared to work in diverse settings to effectively meet the individual learning needs of their students. Candidates earn an undergraduate degree in mathematics, and a minor in Secondary Education. Then they complete the Professional Year – graduate coursework and a yearlong internship that leads to a master’s degree and teacher licensure.

Students completing the MS in Teacher Education, Mathematics Education Professional Internship Concentration have two options:
Thesis: 42 graduate credit hours for the Thesis Option, including TPTE 500 (6 credit hours)
Non-Thesis: 36 graduate credit hours for the Course Only with Comprehensive Exam Option
