Alison Hardy is an assistant professor of elementary education in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Hardy is a former 2nd grade teacher. Her research focuses on supporting elementary students and their teachers in mathematics, with specific interests include K-2 instruction and intervention, word problems, and problem posing. Hardy holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
