Local and Global Outreach
We offer a service–learning, research-based college honors program which allows our students to learn and also give back to others and the community. We also offer numerous community-based collaborations for underserved communities. Initiatives like our Global Sports Mentoring Program help to empower people all over the world.
We offer opportunities to make your education affordable, including ever-growing number of scholarships and graduate assistantships. Most Tennessee students also have the Hope Scholarship and other university-wide assistance available to them.

Getting out of the Classroom
All CEHHS majors require an internship, clinical, or practical experience. Students also have numerous opportunities to go abroad and receive credit toward their degrees.

Sense of Place
Knoxville is known for its great outdoors, diverse music scene, and for being very affordable. Our front yard is the Tennessee River and our backyard is Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our region is also home to major businesses and innovators, including Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
