This semester, students in PUBH 336: Public Health Research Methods, taught by Dr. Larisa Ozeryansky<\/a>, engaged in community-based learning through a partnership with Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries (KARM)<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Over two weeks, 40 students conducted nearly 200 in-person interviews at the Summit Health Clinic<\/a>, exploring health needs among individuals experiencing housing instability. Students gained hands-on experience in survey design, data collection, and ethical research. The semester concluded with a Final Poster Showcase on April 30. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students will continue collaborating with Dr. Ozeryansky on manuscripts, with four abstracts already accepted to the Tennessee Public Health Association<\/a>‘s Annual Conference in September 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n
