{"id":2892,"date":"2024-06-05T16:47:14","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T20:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cehhs.utk.edu\/publichealth\/?p=2892"},"modified":"2025-09-11T13:59:25","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T17:59:25","slug":"ceph-accreditation-extended-for-7-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cehhs.utk.edu\/publichealth\/2024\/06\/05\/ceph-accreditation-extended-for-7-years\/","title":{"rendered":"CEPH Accreditation Extended for 7 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) has awarded full accreditation to all undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered by the University of Tennessee Department of Public Health.\u00a0 This accreditation will extend seven years, the maximum time period for which it can be awarded.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve accreditation, public health programs must complete a rigorous and complex review process.\u00a0 As a part of that process, the department was required to complete an extensive self-study report.\u00a0 This was a labor intensive project that took nearly a full year to complete and required input from all faculty and department staff as well as feedback from students and our community programs.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Tennessee Master of Public Health program has maintained accreditation since its inception in 1969.\u00a0 However, this marks the inaugural accreditation for our revised PhD program and new Bachelor&#8217;s program.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank everyone for the hard work that they put into helping us with this achievement.\u00a0 We are already collecting data that will help us during our next accreditation review in 2031!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) has awarded full accreditation to all [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":136,"featured_media":2893,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[164,110,251,169,248,113,252],"tags":[246,80,36,253,238,88,245,31,30,115],"class_list":["post-2892","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-achievements","category-announcements","category-bachelors","category-doctoral","category-graduate","category-mph","category-programs","tag-246","tag-award","tag-awards","tag-bachelors","tag-ceph","tag-doctoral","tag-graduate","tag-mph","tag-public-health","tag-undergraduate"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
