Enilda Romero-Hall is an associate professor and coordinator of the learning, design, and technology Ph.D. program in the Theory and Practice in Teacher Education Department. In her research and publications, she focuses on the exploration of emergent technologies that help to promote, practice, and implement effective and efficient learning experiences. She is particularly interested in informal and non-formal online learning, networked learning in online social communities, and learners’ and instructors’ digital literacy in higher education. Other research areas include innovative research methodologies; culture, technology, and education; and feminist pedagogies. She is the author of the edited volume Research Methods in Learning Design and Technology published by Routledge. She serves as the chair for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) SIG Instructional Technology, the advising editor to the Feminist Pedagogy for Teaching Online digital guide, and a member of the UTK Latinx/e Engagement Community of Scholars.
