Alyssa Seisser serves as the Digital Communications Manager for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Her areas of specialty include website management and development, digital content strategy, email marketing, and social media strategy. Before joining the college in January 2023, she served as the content strategist for the Division of Student Life’s communications team, the communications specialist for the UT System Office of Communications and Marketing team, and the information specialist for the Office of Communications and Marketing at Pellisippi State Community College. 

Originally from Central Illinois, Alyssa moved to Knoxville after she graduated from Monmouth College (the one in Illinois, not New Jersey) in 2015. Since relocating to Appalachia, she has had the opportunity to experience the world outside of corn and bean fields, finding her community with new friends and loved ones. Alyssa currently serves as the vice chair on the Dean’s Staff Advisory Board

Alyssa spends most of her free time reading, hopping around town with her husband, Max, and their friend group, and being followed by her second shadow, her tortie cat, Athena.
