Three concentrations are offered at the master&#8217;s level:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exercise physiology<\/li>\n<li>Biomechanics<\/li>\n<li>Sport psychology and motor behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The study of kinesiology can lead to a variety of careers in teaching, research, and delivery of services. These careers are usually related to physical activity, fitness, health promotion, rehabilitation, sports medicine, athletic training, coaching, and sport psychology consulting. Positions are found in a variety of settings including schools, colleges and universities, public and private agencies, clinical environments, government, business, and the military.<br class=\"clearshortcode\"><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cehhs.utk.edu\/krss\/graduate\/recreation-sport-management-masters-programs\/\">Recreation and Sport Management Master&#8217;s Program<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>One concentration and one certificate are offered at the master\u2019s level in recreation and sport management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sport Management Concentration<\/li>\n<li>Adaptive Sport and Recreation Certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The concentrations emphasize the experiential education approach to professional preparation. Students graduating from this program gain practical experience to accompany their academic degree.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/cehhs.utk.edu\/krss\/graduate\/kinesiology-and-sport-studies-doctoral-programs\/\">Kinesiology and Sport Studies Doctoral Program<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Each student in this program will have a major in kinesiology and sport studies. Students will have a concentration in either kinesiology or sport studies, then a specific specialization as outlined below. Kinesiology specializations include biomechanics, exercise physiology, physical activity epidemiology, and sport psychology, and motor behavior. Sport studies specializations include sociocultural studies and sport management.
