It is a college credit course offered at UT as RSM 405. The graduate and undergraduate students have previously conducted therapeutic recreation programs in Special Education Classrooms in Knox and Sevier County schools. For 10 weeks, the students conduct initial assessments of the children, facilitate lesson plans, and write progress notes and final assessments. During the course, the UT students also gain experience in using commercial assessment tools, the GRST and FACTR-R.
