At the KLASS Center, we offer in-depth psychoeducational evaluations for students of all ages to better understand how they think, learn, and function in daily life.<\/p>\n<p>These evaluations are designed to identify and clarify concerns such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learning disorders (like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia)<\/li>\n<li>Attention-Deficit\/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual disabilities or giftedness<\/li>\n<li>Processing or memory difficulties<\/li>\n<li>Developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges affecting school or daily functioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our goal is to provide clear, <strong>evidence-based<\/strong> information that helps students, families, and educators make informed decisions about supports, interventions, and\u2014when appropriate\u2014accommodations or special education services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Is This Evaluation For?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We provide assessments for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Toddlers and children showing early signs of learning or developmental difficulties<\/li>\n<li>Elementary and high school students struggling in reading, math, writing, or attention<\/li>\n<li>Adolescents and college students navigating persistent academic or behavioral challenges<\/li>\n<li>Graduate or professional (law, medicine, veterinary, etc.) students seeking documentation for accommodations for tests, classroom, or applied settings.<\/li>\n<li>Families or educators seeking documentation to support services like IEPs, 504 Plans, testing accommodations or college accommodations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What the Evaluation Includes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each evaluation is tailored to the student\u2019s unique needs and typically involves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Initial Intake Interview<\/strong>: A conversation with caregivers (and the student, when appropriate) to gather background information and clarify goals for the evaluation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Standardized Testing<\/strong>: Over two sessions, we assess cognitive abilities, academic achievement, attention, memory, executive functioning, and emotional\/behavioral functioning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Teacher\/School Input<\/strong>: With permission, we may contact teachers or review school records to gain a fuller picture of the student\u2019s day-to-day functioning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feedback Session<\/strong>: After testing is complete, we meet with the caregivers and\/or student to review the results, explain any diagnoses, and walk through practical, personalized recommendations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Written Report<\/strong>: Families receive a detailed report that can be used to support applications for school-based services (like IEPs or 504 Plans), tutoring, therapy, or college accommodations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Timeline for Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our comprehensive evaluations are thoughtfully scheduled over <strong>three separate visits<\/strong>, typically completed within <strong>3 to 4 weeks<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Day 1<\/strong>: Intake interview and testing (3 hours)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day 2<\/strong>: In-person testing (3 hours)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day 3<\/strong>: Feedback session (60 minutes) to review results and next steps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We understand that schedules can be busy, so we\u2019ll work with you to space out appointments in a way that works for your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Choose Our Clinic?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a university-based clinic, our evaluations are conducted by licensed psychologists and advanced doctoral trainees under expert supervision.
